Frozen Fear

You think you’ve got problems? First I got shot in the line of duty. Then everyone blamed me, Detective Constable Claire Beckett, for my boss getting killed. Believe it or not, all I want is to clear my name and get my job back.

I retreated up north to my family’s quaint log cottage so my shoulder could heal, and my friend Sid lent me his dog Kojak. Kojak and I both love lying on the couch. He takes time out to chase squirrels and I obsess over my upcoming disciplinary hearing.

Meanwhile, a woman who just happens to look like my twin, has been killed. Seriously. Wouldn’t that make you stop and think? Or act like a cop and investigate?
